Q&A with HERM EDWARDS - 10/5

Q: Will Eddie Kennison play? How much? Do you expect him full bore?
EDWARDS: "Yeah, practiced all three days, did a good job. He's rotating with the rest of the [receivers.]"
Q: Are you going to keep all six of your wide receivers up?
EDWARDS: "Don't know what we're going to do yet. We could. It's just a matter of special teams and how we want to go. We don't have to make that decision till game time."
Q: You talked about confidence of your team. Do you fear over-confidence now that you won the last two games?
EDWARDS: "For some young guys that I don't know as well as I'd like to, but that's what is great about it. You learn about how they handle success. We'll find out.
"We've won two games. Big deal. Let's try to win another one. I think the more success you have the more you find out about guys. Some guys all of a sudden don't handle it very well; some teams don't handle it very well. We'll find out. That's the maturity process you go through with your football team.
"But I think for the most part these guys know where we're at. This will be a very tough game for us, a very important, very physical.
"We just have to play more consistent for four quarters. We haven't done that. The one thing you can count on about the Chiefs in the month of September is we played hard. We didn't play smart sometimes. The other thing that was very, very glaring: we were always behind. We always played from behind. The calendar flipped to October so let's try not to play from behind."
Q: Is how you start going to set the tone? You haven't scored any points in the first quarter?
EDWARDS: "Zero. It helps you. We've played from behind. I haven't seen us play with a lead so I don't how we're gong to play at the beginning of the game. But again, you're playing a pretty good football team [in Jacksonville].
"I just think there are some things as you continue to go through the season that you try to improve on and that's one, obviously."
