Podlesh Kicks...

Rookie punter Adam Podlesh, who struggled in his first three games while ranking 28th in the league with an average of 38.6 yards per punt, wasn't called on for a punt until the Jaguars were stopped on the first series of the third quarter.

He got off a 56-yarder that Scott Starks downed on the Chiefs 3-yard line.

The Jaguars offense stalled on the next two series, but Podlesh gave them good field position with a 48-yarder to the Chiefs 20 and a 43-yarder that Starks downed on the Chiefs 8.

His last punt was a 33-yarder that Starks downed on the Chiefs 5.

Podlesh wound up averaging 45 yards a punt and got credit for three inside the 20.

"The special teams did a great job today," quarterback David Garrard said. "Podlesh was hitting the ball extremely well."

Even with the good game, Podlesh fell to 29th in the league with a 40.3-yard average this year.
