1. New England Patriots- They dismantled the Cowboys, and are playing at a level not seen in the salary cap era. (1)

2. Indianapolis Colts- Big divisional showdown Monday night in Jacksonville. (2)

3. Pittsburgh Steelers- Rested up during the bye, next up is a trip to Denver. (3)

4. Jacksonville Jaguars- Playing better each week, Garrard still hasn't made any mistakes (5)

5. Green Bay Packers- Nice bounce back victory over Washington. (7)

6. Dallas Cowboys- Defense gives up too many points, still a good NFC team. (4)

7. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Getting it done with smoke and mirrors, but still getting it done. (16)

8. San Diego Chargers- Seem to have righted the ship. (13)

9. Baltimore Ravens- Where's the offense? (11)

10. New York Giants- Picking up momentum. (12)

11. Tennessee Titans- Probably not as good as their record. (6)

12. Washington Redskins- Perhaps the most improved team in the NFL. (9)

13. Kansas City Chiefs- Signs of offense against Cincy. (18)

14. Carolina Panthers- Won w/ Vinny Testaverde. (19)

15. Arizona Cardinals- Down to Tim Rattay at QB. (8)

16. Seattle Seahawks- Laid a major egg at home. (10)

17. Detroit Lions- Didn't give up any points during the bye week. (17)

18. Houston Texans- Ran into a buzz saw in Jacksonville. (15)

19. Cleveland Browns- Derek Anderson can lead his team to points. (23)

20. Denver Broncos- Couldn't give up 200 on the ground during the bye. (20)

21. Chicago Bears- Overrated defense. (14)

22. Minnesota Vikings- Adrian Peterson is a one-man gang. (25)

23. Philadelphia Eagles- May be finding their way. (28)

24. Oakland Raiders- Still not a contender. (22)

25. New Orleans Saints- Surprising road victory in Seattle. (30)

26. San Francisco 49ers- Lots of injuries, turning to Trent Dilfer, ouch! (24)

27. Atlanta Falcons- Lots of distractions, lots of problems. (26)

28. Buffalo Bills- Not a lot to like about this team. (27)
