Jaguars Report Card vs. Bills

Report card for the Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Buffalo Bills

PASSING OFFENSE: A
David Garrard had another solid day as he completed 23 of 37 passes for 296 yards and a touchdown. He's yet to throw an interception this year.

RUSHING OFFENSE: B
Fred Taylor rushed for 104 yards on 14 carries, but 50 of them came on one touchdown burst. He was 13 of 54 the rest of the game. And Maurice Jones-Drew had just 10 yards on 10 carries and would have had negative yards if not for a 17-yard touchdown run late in the game.

PASS DEFENSE: A
They shut down Lee Evans, holding him to two meaningless catches on the last drive. And they intercepted J.P. Losman twice, but Losman played poorly enough to lose his job so he made it easy for the defense.

RUSH DEFENSE: B-plus
Except for a 24-yard touchdown on an end around by Roscoe Parrish, the Bills were held to 70 yards on 23 carries, although they were playing without their best runner, Marshawn Lynch.

SPECIAL TEAMS: B-plus
The Bills are noted for good returns but the Jaguars held them in check. It helped that they only had to punt once.

COACHING: B-plus
Jack Del Rio gets hung up on meaningless things like not announcing Daryl Smith is going to move to the middle to replace Mike Peterson, but he kept the team focused and it didn't get caught looking ahead to the Colts game.
