Jaguars Fill Vacant Practice Squad Position

The Jaguars filled their vacant practice squad position by signing former New York Giant tight end, Charles Davis.

The 24-year old tight end was released by New York back in September, and was a former fifth-round pick from Purdue. Davis, standing 6'6", 260 lbs., lettered in basketball while at Purdue.

Davis is a very big athletic guy, and has all the physical traits of what the Jaguars normally go for on offense in the draft. He's a possible "jar on the shelf" type of athlete that could turn into a solid role player in a year or two. Davis is the type of athlete that the practice squad was made for-big and strong, yet raw and needing experience.
