Report Card: Jaguars vs. Texans

Scout.com rates Jacksonville's performance against Houston, losing 42-28

PASSING OFFENSE: A minus
Backup quarterback Quinn Gray went all the way as the Jaguars rested David Garrard and had a good day as he passed for 302 yards and four touchdowns and had a 122 passer rating.

RUSHING OFFENSE: B-minus
PASS DEFENSE: B-minus
Even though they rested several starters, they held Sage Rosenfels to 11 completions for just 126 yards and they picked him off once.

RUSH DEFENSE: D
The backups had problems stopping the Texans' running game as they piled up 170 yards, led by Ron Dayne's 88 yards on 21 carries and Darius Walker's 86 yards on 10 carries.

SPECIAL TEAMS: F
They gave up two kickoff returns for touchdowns by Andre Davis -- on consecutive kickoffs -- before they started squib kicking. And Chad Owens muffed a punt that led to a touchdown.

COACHING: B
The goal for the Jaguars was to avoid injuries as 16 starters either didn't play or saw limited action. Now the Jaguars must hope they didn't lose any momentum.
