Jaguars: Player Notes

Notes on Henderson, Peterson, Garrard, Mathis, Jones-Drew, and Landri

-- CB Rashean Mathis, who intercepted only one pass all season, picked off two against the Steelers and returned one for a touchdown.

-- DT John Henderson suffered a strained hamstring in Pittsburgh and his condition will be updated later in the week.

-- MLB Mike Peterson has missed seven games in a row with a broken hand and still hasn't been cleared to play.

-- QB David Garrard didn't have one of his better games against the Steelers as he threw two interceptions and had a 41.3 passer rating. But he ran 32 yards on 4th-and-1 to set up the game-winning field goal.

-- RB Maurice Jones-Drew returned a kickoff 96 yards to set up a touchdown, ran 43 yards with a pass for another touchdown and had 29 yards on eight carries.

-- DT Derek Landri, a fifth-round draft pick this year, got a lot of playing time against the Steelers when John Henderson went out. Landri got what said to be a "trifecta." That being an interception, sack and recovered fumble.
