Montell Owens Talks Playoffs

JagNation's Christina Hovestadt sat down with Jaguars special teams ace, Montell Owens this week and did a full interview about his college days, his tough journey from the undrafted free agent ranks to his current position on the team. Here is a small excerpt from the interview about how Owens feels about the Jaguars chances against the "Goliath" New England Patriots

Christina Hovestadt: The Patriots have dangerous return men in Ellis Hobbs and Wes Welker. Has there been any additional preparation so far to try and slow them down?

Montell Owens: We are going to continue to do what we do. I don't feel that there is any reason to change our play because we have faced these types of returners before. We faced Wes Welker when he was at Miami so we are well aware of the return capabilities that both of these men have. We do not want to change our philosophy. We are going to go to Boston and play like we know how.

CH: Hardly anyone in America is giving the Jaguars any kind of chance of winning against the undefeated Patriots. Is there any pressure whatsoever to win when the team is such a heavy underdog?

MO: We actually do not have a lot of pressure. We have nothing to lose where as New England has everything to lose. We know what we are capable of doing and if we do it, we can win. A lot of teams have lost to them because they just gave the game away.
