Dan Connor: PSU's all-time leading tackler, Connor led the nation's 11th ranked defense with 145 tackles, 6.5 sacks and an interception. Playing middle linebacker, the two-time All-American won the Bednarik Award given to the college defensive player of the year, the third consecutive year a Nittany Lion has won the honor. Connor already showcased his talents in the Senior Bowl last month, winning MVP honors for the North Squad.
Justin King: The junior cornerback had 49 tackles, two interceptions, one fumble recovery and 15 pass break-ups on the year. King appeared to have he hands full in a couple of games in 2007, but still led the team with a Big Ten best 17 pass defenses while winning first-team All-Conference notice. He graduated in December with a degree in liberal arts with an emphasis in sports management.
Anthony Morelli: The senior quarterback went 234 for 402 (58.2%) for 2651 yards in 2007. Tossing 19 touchdowns, Morelli earned a rating of 124.2 on the year, winning his second bowl game in a decisive defeat over Texas A&M in the Alamo Bowl. A career of ups and downs, Morelli went 18-8 over his career as a starter in Blue and White.
