Jaguars Interested in SWAC Lineman

The Jaguars appear poised to address both sides of the ball in next weekend's draft. Find out which offensive tackle the Jaguars are reportedly interested in.

According to J.J. Pesavento, the Jaguars have shown considerable interest in Mississippi Valley State offensive tackle, Thaddeus Coleman. Coleman is a tall, somewhat slender lineman as he measures in at 6'8", 308 lbs.

Coleman plays the most premium position on the offensive line, left tackle, and he earned first-team All-SWAC honors last season after finishing as a second-team all-SWAC selection as a junior. Among Coleman's attributes are a very nasty streak, a frame that can afford him to add approximately 20 lbs. without losing much agility, a good punch, and solid straight-line speed.

Among Coleman's negatives are a lack of upper body flexibility, and an attitude that can result in mental errors and penalties against more savvy veteran defenders.

The former Mississippi Valley State tackle is expected to be a late second-day selection, as NFL Draft Scout rates him as the 19th rated offensive tackle prospect in one of the deepest drafts in memory at the position.
