"Best Team We've Had"

Expectations are higher than at any time he's been with the club, and Del Rio admits this is the time for the Jaguars to make a move.

"We have the most talented, the best team we've had going into camp in year six now," Del Rio said. "And we should be, it should be our strongest team. If it is, there is added responsibility for everyone to show up in great shape and with a hungry mindset.

Jaguars coach Jack Del Rio received a contract extension that will basically pay him close to $5 million per year through 2012. Del Rio got the new pact even though the Jaguars have won only one playoff game in his five years with the club.

"I think the one thing that anyone who watched our team last year recognizes, is that we were very unselfish, it was a great locker room, the guys were all buying into things and doing it the right way, it was special. Fred Taylor even said it was the closest locker room. You have to fight to get that every year, and to me, that starts right now.

"During our OTAs which kick off the second week in May, those are times when you build that camaraderie, that togetherness, that unselfish attitude. That's what we're going to be about. We've added to the talent base and now we go compete. With three of first four games being in the division, we've got to come out strong."
