The Jaguars are a below average team offensively, and they have far too many talented players to be this bad. The team has struggled with injuries and they've struggled on third down and in the red zone.

David Garrard -122/183, 1259 yds, 66.7%, 4 TD's, 4 INT's, QB rating- 84.5
David Garrard has put together a few very good games this season, but his decision making hasn't been great throughout the year. Garrard has taken 15 sacks for 119 yards lost which more than cancels out his 102 rushing yards. He benefitted from a great rushing attack last year and teams are stacking up the box to stop the Jaguars from rushing. It's on him to make plays down field and back the safeties off, something he did very successfully last Sunday against Denver. Garrard seems to be improving each week and the offensive play calling seems to be opening up.
Maurice Jones-Drew - 65 carries, 301 yards, 4.6 ypc., 5 TD's
Fred Taylor - 72 carries, 242 yards, 3.4 ypc., 0 TD's
The Jaguars running backs haven't enjoyed nearly the success they had a year ago mostly due to the way defenses are stacking up the line of scrimmage to stop them. Most weeks there have simply been too many defenders in the box to run, and the injuries to the offensive line haven't helped either. As for the actual running, Jones-Drew and Taylor have done a solid job when teams haven't had defenders hitting them as soon as they get the ball.
When three of your projected five starters are out by halftime of the season opener, your offensive line is going to struggle. Tackles Khalif Barnes and Tony Pashos have done a great job against some tough pass rushers, and they have kept a bad situation from becoming a horrible one. Dennis Norman, Uche Nwaneri, Milford Brown, and Tutan Reyes have gelled a bit on the inside and appear to be getting better every week. With Brad Meester and Chris Naeole likely to return after the bye week, the Jaguars offensive line is expected to get better.

Dennis Northcutt - 8 rec., 97 yds.
The Jaguars receivers haven't been great, but they're a much better group than a year ago. What's missing is a legitimate downfield threat, and that could come with Troy Williamson and Jerry Porter, assuming each can stay healthy. Matt Jones is having a career year, Mike Walker had a few good games, and Dennis Northcutt showed something last Sunday. Reggie Williams has probably been the biggest healthy disappointment, as he is yet to get yards after the catch this year.

Greg Estandia - 2 rec., 26 yds.
Richard Angulo - 1 rec., 1 yd.
The Jaguars tight ends have been mostly used for blocking this year, thanks to the injuries and struggles to the offensive line. Marcedes Lewis has begun to assert himself over the last two weeks and he's now being used as a threat in the seam which is what he was drafted for. Estandia is a large 6'8" target, and Angulo is mostly a blocker. George Wrighster is expected to return soon which may signal the end of Angulo.
