Jaguars UDFA Report - Pete Ittersagen

The Jaguars needed more depth in the defensive backfield. With the departure of Drayton "Take Your Money and Run" Florence, and the questions on where to play Brian Williams, the Jags hoped to address this area of need in the draft and in free agency. They believe they might have found a steal in Wheaton's Pete Ittersagen.

Standing in at just over 5' 10" and 183 lbs, Ittersagen was a three-time All-American for Division III Wheaton College located right outside of Chicago, IL. He was a standout at cornerback and on special teams having nine career return touchdowns ( 5 punt, 3 interceptions, and 1 kick).

Scouting Report:

According to Consensus Draft Services:

"Repeatedly one of the best DB/KR prospects in all of Division III football. FAST."

Has good cover skills and a knack for making plays on the ball. Intelligent both on and off the field.

Chances of making the roster:

Questionable. Although he was solid in mini-camp, he has a long way to go. Unless he can impress in special teams, he will probably not survive the team's final cuts. Still, Ittersagen is a classic developmental guy who could turn into a player if the Jaguars have patience.

Our guess:

Ittersagen will probably be destined for the practice squad this season.
