Jaguars Auditioning Quarterbacks

With just two signal callers on the active roster and no real developmental quarterback prospect, the Jaguars are clearly looking to get younger at the position. Find out where the team's scouts are headed and what quarterbacks they will be looking at.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have their scouts all over the country, as they look to add talent to a roster that is young with promise. One of the places they are heading is nearby Gainesville, where they will see the national champion Florida Gators host the Troy Trojans.

The Jaguars will of course be perusing the Florida sidelines and they will see former Heisman Trophy winner, Tim Tebow. The team knows plenty about Tebow, being that he is a local guy and the talk of the town. Some other players of note that they will see are Brandon Spikes, Joe Haden, and Aaron Hernandez.

As the look over on the Troy sideline, the Jaguars may be interested in middle linebacker Boris Lee, who led the Trojans in tackles (126) a year ago. Some other defensive ends that could fit in a 3-4 are Brandon Lang and Cameron Sheffield. Troy has a history of great defensive ends as they sent both Osi Umenyiora and DeMarcus Ware to the NFL (and later the Pro Bowl). The Jaguars team won't be the only ones in Indiana this weekend, as their scouts will take in Saturday's Western Michigan-Indiana game. The Western Michigan Broncos have a great signal caller in senior quarterback Tim Hiller, who tore an acl just a season ago in the team's bowl game. Hiller is back and feeling well, and is currently projected as a mid-round pick, as he is a tall, pocket passer.

Another Western Michigan prospect is running back Brandon West, who is as speedy as anyone in the MAC.
