Jaguars Mock Draft- Final

The draft is just a few days away and it's time to give our final Jaguars mock draft. The Jaguars currently have six draft picks and will likely jockey their way up and down the draft boards, as general manager Gene Smith has expressed a desire to collect as many selections as possible in what is said to be a very deep draft. For simplicity, we will make this particular mock with no trades.

Round one, 10th overall pick- Jimmy Clausen, QB, Notre Dame

The Jaguars have been a last place team under quarterback David Garrard the last two seasons and at 32 years old Garrard's best days are behind him. Many believe that Clausen is a franchise quarterback, and he will have a chance to grow behind a good offensive line and young weapons like Maurice Jones-Drew, Mike Sims-Walker, Marcedes Lewis and Mike Thomas.

If he's on the board: Eric Berry, S, Tennessee

If Clausen is gone: Joe Haden, CB, Florida

Round three, 74th overall pick- Carlton Mitchell, WR, USF

Carlton Mitchell has great size at 6'3", 215 lbs. and ran in the low 4.4's at his pro day. The former USF standout would have likely put up greater statistics if he had a stable quarterback situation. Mitchell has a chance to be a legitimate number two receiver opposite Mike Sims-Walker.

If he's on the board: J.D. Walton, C, Baylor

If Mitchell is gone: Larry Asante, S, Nebraska

Round four, 108th overall pick- Eric Norwood, LB, South Carolina

Eric Norwood was a fantastic playmaker in the NCAA's top conference (SEC). Norwood is a great pass rusher from the linebacker position and would have a chance to start right away.

If he's on the board: Torell Troup, DT, UCF

If Norwood is gone: Brandon Lang, DE, Troy

Round five, 143rd overall pick- Dakota Watson, LB Florida State

Dekota Watson is a physical marvel, but there's some major questions as to where he can play on the next level as he's a linebacker/safety 'tweener. Watson is a good pass rusher from the linebacker position and the Jaguars can use him in passing situations.

If he's on the board: John Skelton, QB, Fordham

If Watson is gone: Devin Ross, CB, Arizona

Round six,180th overall pick- Emmanuel Sanders, WR, SMU

Emmanuel Sanders is an ultra-productive wideout, but his numbers came in June Jones's pass-happy system at SMU. Sanders needs to put on weight, but he has solid hands and runs good routes.

If he's on the board: Mitch Petrus, G, Arkansas

If Sanders is gone: Shaun Lauvao, G, Arizona State

Round six, 203rd overall pick- Jeff Byers, G, USC

Byers is an experienced starter and can add depth on the interior of the offensive line.

If he's on the board: Myron Rolle, S, Florida State

If Byers is gone: O'Brien Schofield, OLB, WIsconsin
