It was a busy day in the Raleigh-Durham area yesterday as NFL scouts made visits to ACC rivals North Carolina and North Carolina State, testing seniors during Pro-Day. Here are the highlights from the Wolfpack prospects.
The star of the show may well have been 232-pound
DE/OLB Shawn Price,
who blistered across the track running anywhere
between a 4.50 and 4.40 depending on whose watch you read, posted a 34-inch
vertical jump, 10-6 broad jump and completed 20 reps on the bench. Price, who
lined up in a three point stance at NC State, must now learn to play off the
line as he projects to linebacker.
Safety Julius Patterson had a solid day.
After checking in at 5-10/194, he ran a 4.70 then turned in a 40-inch vertical jump, 10-10 broad jump, 4.10 20-yard
shuttle and 6.90 cone run.
Receiver Bryan Peterson disappointed running
a 4.57 and launched 35 inch vertical.
Safety Terrence Holt ran a 4.55, defensive
tackle Terrance Martin pushed up an impressive 30 reps on the bench while
offensive tackle Scott Kooistra complete 26.
Defensive lineman Drew Wimsatt ran a 4.74 at
250-pounds, posted a 37-inch vertical, and benched 225 pounds 24
