One of Jacksonville's biggest priorities in the off-season is to upgrade the defense, especially the pass-rush. One name to keep your eye on is 49ers defensive end Chike Okeafor.

Last Saturday, the 6-foot-4 and 254 pound five-year pro out of Purdue took a visit to Jacksonville and things appeared to go well according to his agent.

"Chike had a nice visit with Jacksonville on Saturday," his agent Andy Sims said. "He loved Jacksonville and felt real comfortable there. He's looking for the total package and coaching and locations are factors. He really liked Jack Del Rio and defensive line coach Ray Hamilton."

Sims went onto to tell the Jags Insiders that he has been talking with the Jags and he expects to talk with them again today. He also indicated that the free agent market is a little slow now and that he couldn't put a timetable on when his client might sign a contract with a team.

The Indiana native also visited with Detroit, Arizona and Kansas City.

At this time it is unclear if his current teams the San Francisco 49ers are willing to make a competitive offer due to their salary cap issues. Right now the 49ers are approximately $1.76 million under the salary cap.

This past season, Okeafor recorded six sacks and 26 quarterback pressures.
