Jags Shopping Darius
Rumors have been floating around that the Jaguars are shopping the services of safety Donovan Darius who was extended franchise tag by the team earlier in the month.
According to a league source, the Pittsburgh Steelers are exploring a trade for the 6-foot-1 and 215 pound safety if they can't sign Tampa Bay's Dexter Jackson to a contract. Right now Jackson, who was also offered by Arizona, will have to decide between similar offer sheets.
New head coach Jack Del Rio is having second thoughts in terms of how Darius would fit into his defense and he isn't high on paying him a franchise salary.
The Jaguars are asking for either a first or second round pick from the Steelers. However, the price appears too high for the Steelers and a deal probably would fall through unless the Jaguars would be willing to take less.
