Tucker Brings In One of His Guys

When coaches change jobs, their journeyman players tend to follow. We've seen this in Jacksonville with former coach Mike Tice, who brought in Troy Williamson and Richard Angulo, and even with former defensive coordinator Gregg Williams who is annually followed by Pierson Prioleau. According to Alfie Crow, the Jaguars are working out former Kansas City Chiefs and Cleveland Browns linebacker Kris Griffin. The 6'3", 232 lb. Griffin has played in 46 games and has recorded 34 career tackles. Despite not lighting up the stat sheet, Griffin is familiar with Mel Tucker's system as he spent a couple seasons with the Jaguars defensive coordinator. The Rochester, Pennsylvania native attended Geneva College before transferring to Indiana University (Pennsylvania). At "the other" Indiana, Griffin recorded 152 tackles, 38 tackles for loss, 12 sacks, 11 interceptions and seven passes defensed.

Griffin spent last season with the Las Vegas Locomotives of the UFL.
