Jags Close To Signing DE
In the last few days, the Jaguars have been adding free agents left and right. The team is close to adding one of the biggest pieces to the puzzle. Who could be the big-prize?
Jacksonville Jaguars, continuing their pursuit to try to upgrade the defense, are close to agreeing to contract terms with Eagles defensive end Hugh Douglas, according to a league source.
This news is somewhat surprising seeing how the Jags have been in constant talks with 49er's defensive end Chike Okeafor.
According to the league source, the Jaguars have jumped in front of the pack and it could be a done deal by tomorrow.
Other teams in the running are the Seahawks, the Chiefs, the Giants and the Eagles. Reports have the Chiefs backing off due to the high-price.
Douglas, a three-time Pro-Bowler, led the Eagles in sacks with 12.
