Revis has spent the last two weeks rehabbing the injury but Ryan said the progress isn't there for him to play. He termed the rehabilitation so far as "outstanding" but Revis is still not game-ready in time for Sunday.
"He's out," Ryan said of Revis and the injury. "He will stay here and rehab – get ready for Minnesota."
In other injury news, Ryan said he was uncertain of the status of linebacker Calvin Pace. Earlier this week, Ryan indicated that he thought Pace would play his first regular season game of the year this Sunday. Then on Wednesday, Ryan indicated that he thought that the player could perhaps contribute on passing downs. Pace injured his ankle in the third preseason game of the year and Ryan ins't sure if the injury has sufficiently healed.
"I'm not as optimistic as I was," Ryan said about Pace's possible return on Sunday.
Ryan said that Pace "did not really participate in team drills" on Thursday.
