Cole Hopeful For Sunday

The Jets secondary and special teams might take a hit this Sunday without Marquice Cole, who continues to recover from injury.

Florham Park, NJ – Jets cornerback Marquice Cole sat out Wednesday's practice with a hamstring injury, the result of a tackle Cole made in the fourth quarter on a punt. Cole was limited to riding the bike during practice.

"My leg was straight going in for the tackle," Cole told GreenAndWhiteReport. "The pain, I felt it immediately."

Cole is uncertain as to his availability on Sunday as the hamstring continues to heal. He said he has been receiving extensive treatment on the injury but he's not sure about when a return to the practice field is happening.

"I hope to be ready this Sunday, don't know yet," Cole said. "Will know later this week but I'll keep working on it. It feels a lot better though."
