Jets vs. Texans: Three Showdowns To Watch

Sunday's game against Houston poses some big positional problems for the New York Jets, but GWR's Kristian Dyer thinks that Gang Green holds the aces.

Three Key Match-Ups To Watch

1. Andre Johnson v. Darrelle Revis: The Texans wide receiver is on pace to top 1,500 yards receiving for yet another season, but he is facing a cornerback in Darrelle Revis who is rounding into his Pro Bowl form of last year, following the early season hamstring injury. Factor in Antonio Cromartie, who can play Johnson on short yardage situations with his longer frame and the wideout might be in for a long day.

Advantage: Jets

2. Matt Schaub v. Shaun Ellis: It has been a quiet year for Ellis, whose sack and tackle numbers are down, but Sunday could be a big week for the defensive end. With Matt Schaub struggling midweek due to a knee injury, Ellis could have a field day in the backfield with a less than mobile quarterback.

Advantage: Jets

3. L.T. & Greene v. Texans D-Line: The Texans conceded 165 yards on the ground last week to Jacksonville, a number that must have Jets offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer licking his lips. Even with a dinged up offensive line, the Jets need to run Shonn Greene hard between the tackles to open up the wide play. Advantage:
