Jets sign McGlockton

In dire need of defensive tackle help following the suspension of Josh Evans, the Jets signed veteran Chester McGlockton. Jets GM Terry Bradway is very familiar with McGlockton from their time in Kansas City together.

The Jets have a potential disaster at the three-technique tackle position with first round pick Dewayne Robertson unsigned (and the two sides aren't close), and Evans probably missing the first eight games of the season.

McGlockton isn't coming off his best season, and might be wearing down after playing defensive tackle in the NFL for over a decade. He will turn 34 during the season. But there are not a lot of free agent defensive tackles available so late in the off-season, and McGlockton seems to be the best one available.
