Report Card: Jets 26 Saints 20 Final

The New York Jets earned some high marks on The Jets Beat's report card after an improbably victory over the New Orleans Saints in Week 9.

Pass Offense:

Geno Smith managed the game effectively and kept the ball out of the Saints' hands as he completed 8-of-17 attempts for 115 yards including a rushing touchdown.

Grade: B-

Rush Offense:

Chris Ivory made the Saints rue the day they traded him to New York as the former New Orleans running back exploded for 139 yards and a touchdown.

Grade: A+

Pass Defense:

Drew Brees racked on 382 yards through their air, but looked uncomfortable in the pocket all afternoon long as two Jet interceptions helped swing momentum in New York's favor.

Grade: A

Rush Defense:

The Jets looked every bit like the NFL's best run defense limiting New Orleans to just 41 yards on 13 carries.

Grade: A+

Special Teams:

Nick Folk is now 23-for-23 on field goal attempts this season and 14-of-14 on extra points as the legend of the Jets' Folk hero lives on.

Grade: A+

Coaching:

Rex Ryan improved to 7-3 head-to-head with twin brother Rob and found a way to stymie Drew Brees and the Saints high flying passing attack.

Grade: B+
