Jets Can Turn Whole Season Around Tonight

It hasn’t been a successful start to the season for the Jets. Starting out 1-5, their worst record to start a season since 2007 when they went 1-8 has been a huge disappointment. But, with a win tonight against their archrivals, the Patriots, the Jets could turn their season around.

Right now the Jets are a sub-par team to say the least. At 1-5 most people around the league think the season is over for the Jets. The season is not over until you are mathematically eliminated. So until then the Jets have a chance.

If they could somehow pull off the upset tonight against the Patriots and win next week at home against the Bills they would be 3-5 and 2-0 in the division. If you win your division games you always have a chance in this league.

If Rex Ryan wants to have any chance of keeping his job tonight is the night where his team needs to shine. Ryan has never beaten the Patriots up in Foxborough during the regular season, but there is a first time for everything right?

This could be Ryan’s job on the line tonight. If the Jets loose drop to 1-6 and have a division loss it could be over for Ryan. He needs to do whatever he has to for the Jets to win this game. That includes benching Geno Smith if he feels Michael Vick gives them the better chance to win.

It is not looking so bright in Florham Park right now but with a win tonight the Jets could gain some momentum that they haven’t had all season. The Jets need to come out and play like they haven’t played all season. They need to play mistake free football if they want to win and they need to hit Tom Brady. The Jets can turn their entire season around tonight all they need is a victory.
