Woody prepared to hire Casserly as consultant

According to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, in the event that head coach Rex Ryan and general manager John Idzik are fired, Jets owner Woody Johnson will hire former Houston Texans and Washingotn Redskins general manager Charley Casserly as a consultant.

According to Schefter, Casserly who is currently an analyst for the NFL Network, would be brought in to sure up the football expertise if and when Johnson decides to make a change.

However, Casserly will not have an impact on whether or not Ryan and Idzik are fired according to Brian Costello of the New York Post.

As an executive with the Redskins, Casserly helped Washington reach four Super Bowls, in which they won three.
