ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that as soon as John Fox and the Broncos parted ways earlier today, the Jets reached out to him.
The report stated that Jets wanted to interview the veteran coach for their vacant head coaching position. However, according to Schefter, Fox declined. The Jets then later released a statement saying Schefter's story was not true and they never reached out to him. If the story is indeed true it leads to speculation that Fox already has an offer from another team that he covets. Some reports have said he's interested in the Chicago Bears job.
In any event, the carousel of Jets coaching candidates will continue to spin without John Fox.
