3 MORE OFFENSIVE COACHES ADDED

With new Jets coach Todd Bowles being a defensive coach there has been much more interest in who he will bring in to coach the offensive side of the ball. Bowles’ first move was to hire Chan Gailey as offensive coordinator and they two of them have agreed on three more members of the staff.

Steve Marshall has been hired as the offensive line coach. Marshall was the assistant offensive line coach with the Green Bay Packers last season and before that he coached both in college and the pros. Marshall worked with the Houston Texans (2002-05) and Cleveland Browns (2007-08) with stints in college between and after those jobs.

The Jets have hired Kevin Patullo as the quarterbacks coach. Patullo was the assistant wide receivers coach with the Tennessee Titans last season and previously worked as part of Gailey’s staff, as offensive quality control and assistant wide receivers coach, with the Buffalo Bills for three years.

For the running backs coach the Jets have hired Marcel Shipp who served as an intern with the Arizona Cardinals, with Bowles, in 2013 before taking the running backs coach job at the University of Massachusetts where Shipp went to college.

Shipp played running back in the NFL for seven seasons, all with the Cardinals, and is also yet another New Jersey native, born in Paterson.
