The Jets announced the players that will not play against Detroit

The New York Jets and Detroit Lions have announced the players that will not dress for the two teams' preseason opener Thursday night.

For the Jets, quarterback Geno Smith (jaw), receivers T.J. Graham (hamstring), Chris Owusu (concussion) and Devin Smith (ribs), tight end Steve Maneri (hamstring), defensive backs Curtis Brown (hamstring) and Dee Milliner (wrist), running back Stevan Ridley (knee) and defensive lineman Muhammad Wilkerson (hamstring) all will not play.

The Lions will sit cornerback Rashean Mathis, running back Joique Bell, offensive tackle LaAdrian Waddle, defensive end Jason Jones and nose tackle Haloti Ngata.
