Jets injury list grows versus Atlanta

Jets lose five more to injuries in victory over Falcons

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ: The Jets injury report grew a bit larger Friday night.

With 13 players already missing New York's second preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons, six more left at various points in time and did not return in the Jets 30-22 victory.

Three players (Receiver Jeremy Kerley safety Durell Eskridge, running back Daryl Richardson) suffered concussions, receiver Shaq Evans left in the second quarter after straining his back, offensive lineman Ben Ijalana injured his knee and safety Dashaun Phillips hurt his ribs.

When New York returns to training camp next week, it will have a staggering 18 players on the injury report.

Speaking after the game, Jets coach Todd Bowles couldn't comment much on the severity of the injuries, saying he needed an update himself and would know more later in the week.

"I couldn't tell you yet," Bowles said. "When I go back in and get an update, I'll be able to tell you a little more."
