EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J.- It had been the most alarming aspect of the Jets offense over the last several weeks. No matter how hard the team tried, the run game could never get going.
Beginning against the New England Patriots back on Oct. 25, Ivory had rushing yard totals of 41, 17 and 26 yards entering Sunday's matchup with the Bills. Was a game against Buffalo going to be what sparked the unit's rushing attack?
Yes. Yes it was.
Ivory rushed for 99 yards on 18 carries for an average of 5.5 yards per carry. The yardage and YPC totals were his highest since he rushed 20 times for 146 yards against the Redskins on Oct. 18.
A likely cause for Ivory's return to form was the return of all-pro center Nick Mangold. Against the Patriots, Mangold injured his neck. He missed the Jets game against the Oakland Raiders and played just a few series against the Jaguars. On Sunday, Mangold was back full time.
After the loss to the Bills, Mangold spoke to the media about all things Jets. Watch the video above for everything the six-time Pro Bowler had to say.
