New York Jets vs. Houston Texans: Who's playing, who's out?

Who will and won't play for the Jets and Texans this week?

Speaking at a charity event for teammate Muhammad Wilkerson, Jets defensive end Sheldon Richardson was asked about his out-of-the-blue injured hamstring.

At some point in last week's loss to the Bills, Richardson tweaked it, which caused him to then miss practice on Monday. Could that injury actually cause Richardson to miss Sunday's game with the Texans?

"I don't wanna say that's not even a thought right now," Richardson said Wednesday. "But, I'm staying optimistic about it."

Maybe New York's Pro Bowl defensive lineman should have been a little more pessimistic. Richardson, after not practicing this week, is one of seven players listed on New York's inactive list. In his place, rookie Leonard Williams will start.

Also inactive for the Jets is quarterback Bryce Petty, receiver Kenbrell Thompkins, cornerback Dee Milliner, safety Dion Bailey, offensive lineman Dakota Dozier and offensive lineman Ben Ijalana

Safety Calvin Pryor is active for the first time after missing New York's last three games with a high-ankle sprain. Receiver Quincy Enunwa, who missed the last four games due to a suspension, is also back.

For the Texans, guard Oday Aboushi, linebacker Akeem Dent, tight end Garrett Graham, quarterback Brian Hoyer, cornerback Kareem Jackson, safety Rahim Moore and running back Chris Polk are all inactive.
