ORCHARD PARK, N.Y.—During the Jets present five-game winning streak, few players have played as big of a role as Bilal Powell. Finally healthy, the back accounted for 394 total yards and three touchdowns, finding a home as the perfect complement to starter Chris Ivory.
If the Jets want to stretch that winning streak to six games, making the playoffs in the process, the team will have to do it without Powell. The fifth-year pro, who missed practice this week with an ankle injury, is among New York's seven inactives for Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills. With Powell out, Stevan Ridley is the only other healthy tailback on the roster.
As for the Bills, the team will be without quarterback Josh Johnson, receiver Dez Lewis, running back LeSean McCoy, linebacker Nigel Bradham, linebacker Max Valles, linebacker T.J. Barnes and lineman Lavar Edwards.
