Jets NT extrodiaire Damon "Snacks" Harrison will become a free agent on Wednesday. That's a fact due to the team franchising his line-mate Muhammad Wilkerson.
With limited cap space, the chance of re-signing Harrison before free agency starts is slim to none. Furthermore, with many teams loaded with cap space he will no doubt be a hot commodity. There's already swirlings of the Titans and Giants salivating to speak to snacks.
If he indeed moves on which is likely. The Jets will be in need of one or more replacements.
A name surfaced today in the Rams Nick Fairley (6'0" 308 Lbs) who is a former 2011 first round pick in 2011 of the Detroit Lions. The NY Daily News reported this evening that the team has an interest in Fairley if Harrison leaves.
Fairley is not the massive presence that Harrison is against the run but he is good and could be used in a rotation to shore up the line. He also has more pass rush skills than Snacks with 14 career sacks.
