Since Muhammad Wilkerson broke his leg in that final game against the Bills updates about the status of his progress has been scarce and well it's still scarce but it's something. 10 more seconds of something more than we had before.
The Jets were obviously pleased enough with his progress that the placed the franchise tag on him but today the star defensive line posted a 10 second video of him walking in a walking boot on Instagram with the caption, "Gr8 to be walking, feeling good & staying ahead of my rehab schedule. Thx to every1 for their support."
The video itself doesn't so much, it's literally just 10 seconds of him slowly walking aided by a walking boot but the best part of this post, for Wilkerson and fans, sent from the Jets practice facilities is where he says he is "staying ahead of my rehab schedule." It is of course still possible that the Jets could trade Wilkerson but it is becoming less likely by the day. Which means Jets fans just need to adjust their focus to hoping Wilkerson can get healthy and contribute at a high level again as soon as possible.
