The Denver Broncos traded for Eagles and former Jets QB Mark Sanchez

Those looking for a Jets-Sanchez reunion will be a bit disappointed with this news.

ESPN is reporting that the Broncos have traded for Eagles and former Jets QB Mark Sanchez for a conditional 2017 7th round pick.

Sanchez became expendable when the team signed free agent QB Chase Daniel on Wednesday away from the Chiefs.

There was chatter on Twitter and other social media after this happened that the Jets may have been interested in giving their former first round pick another chance but those rumors were quickly shot down.

The Broncos, who lost both of their QB's this week, Peyton Manning to retirement and Brock Osweiler to the Texans in free agency, are reportedly interested in current Jets free agent QB Ryan Fitzpatrick. However, news of any significant negotiations have yet to surface. The Jets have made an offer to Fitzpatrick that is reportedly much lower than the $15-$18MM per year that he is seeking after a successful 2015 season where he threw 31 TD's.
