Kerley, entering his sixth NFL season was originally a fifth round pick of the Jets in 2011 from TCU and had bursts of success with the team over the past 5 seasons. His role was greatly diminished last season in Chan Gailey's offense and ultimately was released earlier this month to free up cap space. In 2015 he had just 16 catches and 2 TD's for the Jets.
Kerley's deal was reportedly for one year with a dollar amount unknown at press time.
