Free agency news has died down, we still have all of April before the draft and football fans are scratching and itching themselves as they fiend for their football fix. We still have a long way to go before the season starts but at least we now know when the teams will begin their offseason programs.
The Jets will start their offseason program on April 18. They will report, weigh-in, get their play books and personalized workout and nutrional itineraries to carry them over until OTAs. The Jets will hold their OTAs from Mat 24-26, May 31, June 1-2, June 6-9 and mandatory minicamp will be held from June 14-16.
There will only be media coverage on some of those days but those are the days you can look forward to seeing reports about the team and players as the begin to ramp up the process of getting ready for the season. Hopefully by then we will know will, most likely, be the team's starting quarterback and whether or not Muhammad Wilkerson will be on the team or holding out the offseason programs.
The best part of the offseason training programs, as always, is the fact that means training camp isn't far away and before you know it will be spending our Sunday's watching football again and it will be glorious.
