The Jets continue to add depth as they have agreed to a one-year deal with former Cowboys and Buccaneers linebacker Bruce Carter
The 28-year-old linebacker was drafted by the Cowboys with the 40th overall pick in the 2011 draft, he played in Dallas for four years before signing with the Buccaneers last year and being released earlier this offseason. Carter is an extremely gifted athlete who just hasn't been able to develop into a consistent NFL linebacker but he will get one more shot to prove him can put it all together with the Jets.
Carter choose the Jets over the Bills and the Lions but he will start his time with the Jets as a backup and special teams player and will have to earn his way into meaningful playing time.
