The news of D'Brickashaw Ferguson's sudden retirement was a surprise for many and now the team is faced with a big hole in their offensive line. There has been talk that the 6'7-315 Lb Brent Qvale had been showing stuff that he could be elevated to the starting roster but with little experience he is far from a lock to succeed. After Qvale the talent pool ends for tackles on the Jets roster.
JetsInsider has learned through a source that the team may be interested in Broncos veteran T Ryan Clady who despite being injured for most of the past 2 seasons is a 4 time Pro Bowler and if healthy could step right in. The only thing that could hold up a deal is aprox $20MM and 2 years left on his current deal which would have to be renegotiated. Clady sat out the entire season last year after tearing his ACL in the pre-season. The Broncos have been actively shopping him and if they can't find a suitor, he may be available as a free agent if Denver decides to cut him.
Look for more on this in the weeks to come. The team will definitely also be looking to draft some depth in the upcoming draft.
