The New York Jets finished up the three day mandatory mini camp

The Jets wrapped up their last mini camp practice and start a five week vacation before training camp, editor-in-chief Chris Nimbley recaps the three days of practice

Florham Park, NJ - Summer vacation begins now. The Jets finished their last practice of mini camp and get to enjoy a five week vacation before returning to Florham Park for training camp. Of course the absence of Muhammad Wilkerson and Ryan Fitzpatrick have dominated the news cycle but there were plenty of players here, and actually under contract, for us to talk about.

JetsInsider.com's editor-in-chief, Chris Nimbley, talks about the quarterbacks who were actually here to practice, how Geno Smith is far and away the best quarterback currently on the roster. The impressive play of rookie receivers Jalin Marshall and Charone Peake and the overall improved depth at receiver and linebacker and how the entire team clearly has a better grasp of both the offensive and defensive systems going into their second year in said systems.

With five weeks off we will have plenty of content sprinkled in throughout the break as we all prepare for training camp to begin and watch the Jets continue to improve and watch the training camp battles unfold as we get ready for the season.
