Breno Giacomini has missed all of training camp with a lower back injury. He said his back tightened up on him on the first day of mini-camp and he figured it would just be a one, or two, week injury but it ended up getting worse over the break between OTAs and training camp.
Giacomini said the injury is "more of a strain, muscle spasms" and says he is progressing, it keeps getting better everyday and he's able to do more stuff. He said right now he's "day-to-day" but did acknowledge that starting the season on the PUP list is a possibility. Giacomini talked about how he wants to be back "yesterday," about his possible replacements Ben Ijalana and Brent Qvale and the very real possibility of one of those guys playing well enough to take his job if he's not able to get right soon enough.
