Veteran ex-Jet CB Antonio Cromartie, who has been sitting unsigned since the Jets released him in February today signed a deal to join the Indianapolis Colts who are thin at the CB position.
Cromartie, 32, who was signed by the Jets for a second stint last season after playing with the Cardinals in 2014 battled injuries last year and recored just 29 tackles and 12 passes defended. He was released in a salary cap move February 22.
There have been rumors that Cro is dealing with a degenerating hip issue which he denies.
The Colts hope that Cromartie will be able to give them more depth. They have been dealing with injuries to two starters, Patrick Robinson (groin) and Vontae Davis (ankle).
