Florham Park, NJ - Every year, as the season approaches, reporters ask the players about the importance of getting off to a fast start. So why would this year be any different? In fact considering the tough six game stretch the Jets face to start the season (home vs the Bengals, at the Bills next Thursday, at Chiefs, home vs Seahawks, at Steelers and at the Cardinals), it's probably even more important to try and get off to a fast start this year.
In the above video Ryan Fitzpatrick talked about the importance of a fast start and also why he's not surprised that three rookie receivers made the roster. No one had all three rookie receivers (Charone Peake, Jalin Marshall and Robby Anderson) making the roster before training camp began, but even with Fitzpatrick not getting to seeing young receivers in offseason workouts he said he wasn't surprised to have all three make the team.
