The New York Jets Place Tight End Braedon Bowman on IR Among Plethora of Roster Moves

The New York Jets announced several roster transactions on Saturday

Florham Park, N.J. - The New York Jets made some moves on Saturday, placing linebacker Erin Henderson on the Reserve - Non-football injury/illness list (undisclosed) and placed tight end Braedon Bowman on injured reserve due to a torn ACL in his right knee. In response to Henderson and Bowman, the Jets promoted linebackers Victor Ochi and Julian Stanford from the practice squad.

Stanford has played in three games this season for the Jets. He led the team during the preseason with 18 tackles and one sack while contributing two tackles on special teams. Ochi was originally an undrafted free agent with the Baltimore Ravens. The Valley Stream, New York native and Stony Brook alum had two sacks in the preseason for the Ravens.

The Jets lose Henderson, who made four starts with the team. During his time, Henderson racked up 23 tackles. The linebacker led the charge with 11 stops against Pittsburgh two weeks ago and seven against Arizona on Monday night.

Bowman saw action in three games this season for the Jets but did not register a reception. He was used as an extra blocker on offensive plays. After being claimed off waivers from the Jacksonville Jaguars, he spent time on both the active roster and practice squad. Bowman joins wide receiver Eric Decker on New York's injured reserve list.
