FLORHAM PARK, N.J. - According to ESPN's Adam Shefter, an MRI this morning revealed Ryan Fitzpatrick suffered a mild MCL sprain in his left knee during yesterday's loss to the Miami Dolphins.
During the loss, Fitzpatrick took several crushing hits but came back into the game after a few snaps from backup Bryce Petty. Fitzpatrick helped the Jets take the lead late in the fourth quarter, finding rookie Jalin Marshall for an 18 yard touchdown.
After the game Todd Bowles made it clear that Fitz would remain the starter pending the status of his MRI. After this news, you've got to wonder if Bowles will make the move to Petty, Bowles doesn't like playing guys who aren't 100 percent healthy. However, this injury isn't that serious so we'll see how fast Fitz can heal and if he's healthy enough to play this Sunday at home versus the Los Angeles Rams.
