FLORHAM PARK, NJ - The Jets did some roster shuffling today by releasing former starting TE Kellen Davis and re-signing from the practice squad CB Dexter McDougle.
Davis is battling an elbow injury and was released with an injury designation. He became expendable when the Jets got back TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins from the injury pool. Seferian-Jenkins was claimed off waivers earlier in the season from the Buccaneers. Davis leaves the team having zero receptions.
McDougle, who was a third round pick in 2014 and was waived and signed to the practice squad earlier this season will give depth with the loss of CB Marcus Williams to an ankle injury. Williams is expected to be sidelined for at least 2-3 weeks with his injury.
