FOXBORO, MA - Jets Head Coach Bowles joined the team at their hotel this morning near Gillette Stadium after spending yesterday in a NJ hospital with a still undisclosed illness. Shortly after, he was seen arriving with the team at the stadium and appears to be doing fine. He is set to coach the Jets today against the Patriots, though the team is unclear to whether he will coach from the booth or be present on the sideline.
There is still no further word on what caused the illness, but Jets GM Mike Maccagnan updated Bowles' status after visiting him at the hospital yesterday.
"I knew [Bowles] hadn't been feeling great [Friday morning]," a source told ESPN's Josina Anderson. "He said he felt tired."
Thankfully, Bowles didn't suffer a heart attack which was the initial fear. However, doctors said that wasn't the issue and that he was in stable condition.
The Jets take on the New England Patriots this afternoon 1 p.m. EST.
