Matt Forte placed on injured reserve before season finale

Forte is placed on IR with knee injury.

Florham Park, N.J. - The New York Jets made a pair of roster moves before Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills. The team has placed running back Matt Forte on injured reserve and signed cornerback Bryson Keeton from the practice squad.

Forte was unable to practice this week due to his knee injury, a torn meniscus in his right knee and also a shoulder injury. In his first season with the Jets, he had 813 yards and seven touchdowns while also having 30 catches for 263 yards and one touchdown. Forte is the 18th player for the Jets to land on the IR.

An undrafted rookie out of Montana State, Keeton has been with the team since training camp. He appeared in all four preseason games, having four tackles and one pass defended. Keeton was a final roster cut after training camp and was signed to the practice squad the next day.
